Rewire · Days 61–90
Phase 3: Rewire
This is where the magic happens.
You are no longer following a protocol. You are living a lifestyle. The rituals are automatic. You do not think about them, you just do them. In fact, not doing them feels weird.
This is the phase where the neural pathways are fully grooved. Your basal ganglia, your habit centre, has encoded the patterns. Your baseline has shifted.
You are not someone trying to build better habits. You are someone who takes care of their biology.
The travel test
Can you maintain 80% of your rituals while travelling? If not, your system is too rigid.
Minimum viable routine when travelling
- Light, even hotel windows and stepping outside works
- Hydration, buy water at the airport
- Movement, 10 squats in the hotel room
- Caffeine delay, set a timer on your phone
- Protein, order eggs at breakfast or pack a shake
The weekend test
Weekends are where most people unravel. They sleep in, skip the routine, binge on caffeine and alcohol, then wonder why Monday feels terrible.
- Keep the same wake time, within an hour. Social jet lag, shifting your schedule by two or more hours, is as disruptive as flying across time zones.
- Do the minimum rituals. Even if you sleep in, protect light, hydration and movement.
- Do not binge on caffeine after 2pm, alcohol, or late-night eating. These three undo progress faster than anything else.
The disruption protocol
Life will disrupt you. Guaranteed. Sick kids, work emergencies, travel, stress, illness. Here is what to do when your routine gets derailed.
Do the minimum
On terrible days, do the three minute version: one minute outside, drink water, 10 squats. That is the entire routine, and you will be shocked how much better you feel than if you had done nothing.
Try not to spiral
Missing one day is fine. Missing two days is fine. Missing three days in a row is where the neural pathway starts to weaken.
Restart immediately
Do not wait until Monday. Do not wait until things calm down. Start again tomorrow morning. The best time to restart is always now.
Lower the bar
If your routine feels too hard during stress, make it easier, temporarily. Ten minutes of movement becomes two. A 90 minute caffeine delay becomes 60. Thirty grams of protein becomes 20. Adjust, adapt, but do not abandon.
Week 13: your new baseline, days 85–90
You have done it. 90 days. This is the week you solidify your new identity.
Reflection
Final reflection
- What is different from day 1? Energy, sleep, mood, focus, stress resilience, overall wellbeing.
- Which ritual had the biggest return?
- What is still challenging?
- What is next?
Let us be honest: you are not the same person you were on day 1. Not because you became someone new, but because you became more aligned. Your biology is working for you now, not against you.
This is not luck. This is not genetics. This is systems. And you did not need expensive supplements, complicated protocols or superhuman discipline. You just needed to understand how your body works and give it what it needs.
The rituals are part of you now. They are not on your to-do list. They are just what you do. Automatic, effortless, permanent.
